graduated in Agronomic Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1999), graduated in Agrarian Sciences from the University of São Paulo (2000), master's degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of São Paulo (2003) and doctorate in Public Health from the University of São Paulo University of São Paulo (2006). She worked at the São Paulo Agribusiness Technology Agency (APTA) - Vale do Paraíba Regional Pole - as a Researcher in the area of Adding Value to Agricultural Products from 2005 to 2008. She is currently Researcher A at Embrapa Agroindustry of Food and a permanent professor at the Post-Graduate Program in Food and Nutrition (PPGAN) from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). Develops research with bioactive compounds in foods, fruits of biodiversity, adding value to agricultural products and nutritional quality of food.
