Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Paraná, master's and doctorate in Biological Sciences (area of concentration - Entomology) from the Federal University of Paraná. Researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa Florestas. Work mainly on projects aimed at the Integrated Management of Forest Pests, with emphasis on Biological Control. I?m responsible for the production of the product, Nematec®, composed by the nematode Deladenus siricidicola, used on control of wood wasp, the main pest of pine plantation. In addition, I?m the coordinator of the National Wood Wasp Control Program. I was responsible for the biological control program for the giant pine aphids and for the biological control of the yerba mate borer (Hedypathes betulinus), with the development, in partnership with the private sector, the product Bovemax®. It also participates in the project for the integrated management of leaf-cutting ants.
