Mini-curriculum

Graduated (1981) and Master's (1983) in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa and Ph.D. (1996) in Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering from the University of Arizona. Has been a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), since 1985, in the area of irrigation. Was a CNPq Research Productivity Scholar for more than 20 years. Has participated in more than 30 research projects, having coordinated more than half of them. Has published more than 70 articles in specialized journals and more than 200 papers in the annals of technical-scientific events, more than 50 book chapters, 10 books, more than 70 technical circulars / bulletins and more than 50 articles in technological journals, in which more than a hundred technological processes have been described. Was Deputy Head of Research and Development at Embrapa Hortaliças, chairman and member of several technical committees at Embrapa. At Embrapa Hortaliças, from 1984 to 2017, worked in the area of irrigation, with emphasis on the themes of irrigation systems, water management and fertirrigation, in addition to the interactions of water with pest management and nutrition in conventional and organic production systems. From 2018 to 2024, worked in the area of Management and Editorial Production at Embrapa. Since 2025, has worked in the area of #8203;#8203;Monitoring and Evaluation of Embrapa's Strategy.
