Mini-curriculum

Graduated in Agronomy from the Federal University of Viçosa (1990), Master's degree in Agronomy from the Luiz de Queiróz School of Agriculture/USP (1992) and PhD in Agronomy (Plant Protection) from FCA/UNESP - Botucatu (2001). Since 1994 he has been a researcher at Embrapa Acre. He is Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Biodiversity and Biotechnology of the Western Amazon linked to the Federal University of Acre, teaching the subject Agrobiodiversity. It works with family agriculture with food species from the Amazon. He organized four books: Agroecology in Acre (2015), Feijões do Juruá (2017), Ethnobotany and economic botany in Acre (2019) and Conservation and technologies for agricultural and forestry development in Acre (2020). Has experience in studies of rural and urban agrobiodiversity, conservation of plant genetic resources and plant diseases in the humid tropics
