Mini-curriculum

Degree in Agronomic Engineering from the Federal University of Piauí (1990), a master's degree in Agronomy (Irrigation and Drainage) from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (1994) and a PhD in Irrigation and Drainage from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (1999) . Currently, is a researcher at Embrapa, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Company and participates as a collaborator in the Postgraduate Course (master's and doctorate) in Agronomy of the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI). Experience in irrigation management of annual crops, especially cowpea, corn and watermelon. Participation on water demand projects in cultures via weighing lysimetry. Currently, it coordinates research projects focused on the production system of cowpea and supports research on phenotype of grasses and legumes to drought tolerance. Supports projects on management of irrigation and fertirrigation in sugarcane and definition of irrigation depths in cowpea in soils under no-tillage and conventional. In 2017 approved a new project "Management of the soil-water-plant system for maize in the Mid-North region of Brazil", whose execution period will be from 2018 to 2020.
