Mini-curriculum

Graduate at Agronomic Engineering from Universidade Federal de Lavras (1989), master's at Agricultural Engineering from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1993), doctor in Sciences of the Soil from Universidade Federal Rural do Pernambuco (2010) and posdoc in precision agriculture by Colorado State University (2016). He was teacher of the Universidade do Tocantins (1994-1998). Entered as researcher in the Empresa Brsileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária from Embrapa Acre (1998-2002), he is searching of Embrapa Tabuleiros Costeiros since 2002. He has experience in the area of agricultural engineering and science of the soil, with emphasis in agricultural machines/conservation of the soil, acting on the following subjects: no-tillage, soil physics, soil compaction and aerial imagery for nitrogen fertilization recommendation. In 2014 he started the Petrobras / Embrapa (Homogeneous Mixtures of Ureia) cooperation project as coordinator of GT Milho, being the general coordinator of the project from 2016. In 2017 he began the coordination of a working group on precision agriculture for SEALBA, with a partnership between Embrapa Tabuleiros Costeiros and companies from the private sector.
