She holds a degree in Animal Science from the University of São Paulo and a masters and doctorate in Food Technology from the State University of Campinas. As a researcher at Embrapa Meio Ambiente, she focuses on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Inventories, Carbon Footprint, and Environmental Accounting. She serves as an advisor to the National Council for Energy Policy (CNPE) and the Business Network for Life Cycle Assessment. She coordinates the LCA Working Group of the RenovaBio Program and is a member of the Alternative Fuels Task Force of the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) and the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Additionally, she is part of Embrapas Climate, Natural Resources, and Ecological Transformation Portfolio, serves on Embrapas Steering Committee for the Carbon Theme, and sits on the Standing Committee of the Corporate Management Platform in RDI focusing on Carbon Dynamics, Greenhouse Gases, and Agricultural Adaptation.
