Degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1995), Master's in Biochemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1998) and Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Process Technology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2003). He is a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), working at the Research Unit of Tropical Agroindustry, in Fortaleza/CE. He has experience in the areas of Biochemical Processes, acting mainly in the following lines: development of fermentation processes; bioconversion of agro-industrial waste and co-products; and enzymatic maceration of tropical fruit pulps. He currently holds the position of Deputy Head of Research and Development at Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical.
