Liv Soares Severino is Agronomist, gaduated in Universidade Federal do Ceará (Fortaleza, CE, Brazil), M.S. degree granted by Universidade Federal de Viçosa (Viçosa, MG, Brazil), and PhD degree granted by Texas Tech University (Lubbock, TX, USA). He is reseracher in Embrapa Algodão since 2002, and he is expert in Crop Physiology in castor and cotton crops. He coordinated several research projects in partnership with public and private institutions. He also collaborated with projects of International Cooperation in Latin America and Africa.He published about 70 peer-reviewed articles in addition to books, technical documents, and abstracts. He was Chief of Research and Development (2014-2018) and General Chief (2018-2020) of Embrapa Algodão. He was Editor of the academic journal Industrial Crops and Products (Elsevier). He is member of AAIC - Association for the Development of Industrial Crops.
