Mini-curriculum

Guilherme Montandon Chaer holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Viçosa (1998), a master's degree in Agricultural Microbiology from the same institution (2001), and a Ph.D. in Crop and Soil Science from Oregon State University (2008). He is currently a researcher at Embrapa Agrobiologia and a collaborating professor in the Graduate Program in Environmental and Forest Sciences (PPGCAF) at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). His main areas of expertise include soil quality and sustainability, soil microbiology and biochemistry, agroforestry systems, restoration of degraded areas, and soil quality indicators. The main recent projects involve the development of Soil Bioanalysis Technology (BioAS) and the Soil Fertility Information System of Brazil (Fertiliza).
