He holds the titles of "Agricultural Master" conferred by the then Federal Agrotechnical School of Machado/MG, today Federal Institute of the South of Minas - Campus of Machado, and of "Agricultural Technician", by the then Federal Agrotechnical School of Muzambinho/MG, today Instituto Federal Sul de Minas ? Muzambinho Campus. He holds a degree in Agronomy from the Escola Superior de Agricultura e Ciências de Machado (1984), a Master?s in Agronomy (Phytotechnics) from the Federal University of Lavras (1993) and a PhD in Phytotechnics (Vegetable Production) from the Federal University of Viçosa (1998). In the public sector, he worked in research activities in institutions in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo and Amazonas. In the private sector, he worked in the areas of plant and animal production and in the area of ​​education. He is currently an ?A? researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa Amazônia Ocidental), since 2005. He has experience in the field of Agronomy/Phytotechnics, with an emphasis on Mineral Nutrition and Plant Fertilization. It also works in the following areas / lines of research: Production Systems, Management and Crop Care, Genetics and Improvement, Harvest, Post-Harvest and Processing. Coordinates the project for the development and implementation of the Integrated Production System of Guaraná ? P I Guaraná, linked to Embrapa and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply ? MAPA. Develops research with the papaya crop in the Amazon.
