Graduate at Agronomia from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (1997), Master's at Molecular Biology from Universidade de Brasília (1999) and PhD at Molecular Biology from Wageningen University (2004). Since 2005 is scientific researcher at Embrapa and since 2013 works at Embrapa Genetic Resources and Biotechnology (Cenargen), Laboratory of Plant Germoplasm Quarantine (Virology Unit). Has experience in Plant Biology and Phytopathology, acting on the following subjects: Plant Virology, Phytoplasmas, Phytonematodes, Insect-pests, RNA Silencing/ RNA Interference (RNAi), (Epi)Genetic Regulation of Gene Expression, Plant-Pest Molecular Interactions and Plant Resistance to Biotic Stresses.
