Graduated in Biological Sciences by Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná - Unioeste (2002) and PhD in Entomology by Escola Superior de Agricultura "Luiz de Queiroz" - ESALQ/USP (2008). Former vice-president of the Entomological Society of Brazil (Sociedade Entomológica do Brasil - SEB); Chair of the XXVI Brazilian Congress of Entomology / IX Latin American Congress of Entomology; Member of the Internal Technical Committee and member of the Local Publishing Committee of Embrapa Coastal Tablelands. Has experience in Entomology, with an emphasis on Agricultural Entomology, working mainly on the following themes: Host Plant Resistance, Insecticidal Plants, Stored Grain Pests, Sugarcane Pests, and Coconut Pests. Currently is an entomological researcher of Embrapa Coastal Tablelands, working at the Research Execution and Development Unit of Rio Largo - AL (Embrapa Tabuleiros Costeiros / Unidade de Execução de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento de Rio Largo - AL); Substitute Technical Coordinator of the Research Execution and Development Unit of Rio Largo; Permanent Professor of the Plant Protection Post-graduation Program at the Federal University of Alagoas (Universidade Federal de Alagoas - UFAL); Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal BioAssay; and Member of the Editorial Team of the journal Entomological Communications.
