Ednaldo da Silva Araújo, Brazilian. Agricultural Engineer from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro UFRRJ (2001). He holds a MASTER'S DEGREE (2004) and a DOCTORATE (2008) in Agronomy Soil Science from UFRRJ. He has a POST-DOCTORATE (2008) from EMBRAPA. He has been a RESEARCHER at EMBRAPA since 2008. He works at Embrapa Agrobiologia, Seropédica, RJ. He is a PERMANENT PROFESSOR at PPGAO (Graduate Program in Organic Agriculture at UFRRJ); PPGF (Graduate Program in Plant Science at UFRRJ) and PPGA (Graduate Program in Agroecology at the Federal Institute of Espirito Santo, Alegre Campus, ES). He is a member of the Technical Council of ABIO (Organic Farmers Association of Rio de Janeiro); He is a member of the Management Committee of the Agroecological Farm Km 47; He is a member of the Technical Certification Committee of INT (National Institute of Technology). He is a member of the Strategic Council of the National Bioinputs Program of MAPA. He is active in the following scientific societies: Brazilian Society of Soil Science - SBCS and the Brazilian Association of Agroecology ABA. He is a reviewer of national and international journals. He coordinates projects in the State and National Network. He received the award - Best of Baixada Fluminense, in 2024. He has a registered patent for organomineral fertilizers. He works mainly on the following topics: agroecological soil management and organic production of vegetables, with an emphasis on: green manure; mulch; direct planting of vegetables; organic fertilization; organominerals; soil remineralizers; development of granulated and pelleted fertilizers; biological nitrogen fixation; urban solid waste; nitrogen volatilization and mass spectrometry (15N).
