Mini-curriculum

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Pelotas (2004), Master (2007) and Ph.D. (2009) in Agroindustrial Science and Technology with a concentration area in Food Microbiology. She carried out research on the bacterial pathogen Listeria monocytogenes at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London (England), as part of her sandwich doctorate. Researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), at the Southern Brazilian Livestock Husbrandry Research Center in Bagé, RS (Embrapa Pecuária Sul). She has experience in the area of Meat Science and Technology, with an emphasis on the development of meat products aiming at adding value to raw materials that are little valued by consumers. In addition, she develops researches evaluating the physicochemical and sensory quality of meat and meat products, from the evaluation of carcasses and meats from different races and/or genotypes, as well as from different rearing and finishing systems.
