Agronomist, graduated from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture (ESALQ-USP), with a masters and doctorate in Analytical Chemistry from the São Carlos Institute of Chemistry (IQSC-USP). She has completed five postdoctoral programs at leading institutions and worked as a visiting researcher at Health Canada, where she gained an integrated perspective on how research and innovation are fundamental pillars of sustainability. A researcher at Embrapa Meio Ambiente since 2010, her work focuses on topics that connect Agriculture and the Environment, with an emphasis on Climate Change and Sustainability Assessment of Agricultural Systems.She represents Embrapa in several important Working Groups, including the preparation of Brazils National Communication to the UNFCCC, the Technical Committee of the Low Carbon Industry (CTIBC) under the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services (MDIC), the AgroCarbon Chamber of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), and the development of the guiding document on Circular Bioeconomy for the FAO LEAP (Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance Partnership).She contributed to the formulation of the Sectoral Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change and Low Carbon Emission in Agriculture (20202030), aimed at sustainable development. Actively engaged in innovation initiatives within the agricultural sector, she is a member of the management board of AgNest, a living lab that fosters connections between startups, large companies, and Embrapa. She is also a member of the Brazilian Academy of Agronomic Science (ABCA) and a counselor at the Superior Agribusiness Council (COSAG-FIESP).With a strong career in management, she served for five years as deputy head of Technology Transfer and, in June 2022, assumed the position of general head of Embrapa Meio Ambiente. Her career is marked by academic excellence, strategic leadership, and an integrated vision aimed at addressing the challenges of sustainable agriculture in a constantly changing world.
