Mini-curriculum

Agronomy Engineer (2004), Master Science (2006) and PhD in Plant Science (2009) by the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Between 1999 and 2008 I was engaged on researches involving phenology, plant arrangement, grain yield potential and the management of nitrogen side-dress. During the PhD studies he has evaluated gene expression, signal transduction and responses of Arabidopsis thaliana mutants to phosphate nutritional deficiency and nutrient interactions between phosphate with iron and sources of nitrogen. During 2008, I participated in a short PhD program (CNPq SWE fellowship) at UCDavis in Davis, CA, USA. During the years 2009 and 2010 I lead the Evaluation and Development of new products from Syngenta Seeds LTDA in the Guarapuava/PR region, focusing on the evaluation and development of news commercial genotypes of maiz and soybean. Since 2010 I am a researcher at Embrapa Wheat studing: (i) integrated crop systems; (ii) management strategies to maintain the technical and economical viability of the wheat and soybean succession; (iii) plant science studies to develop new soybean cultivars and (iv) breeding on the Embrapa's soybean program. During the whole Embrapa's time, I continuously participate in technical committees and collaborate with the local company management, specially in the Research and Development area of Embrapa Wheat.
