Food Engineer with a PhD in Food Engineering and Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande (FURG), working part of her PhD at the Agrobiotechnology Laboratory, in Aarhus, Denmark. Between 2010 and 2023, she was a researcher at Embrapa Swine and Poultry where she led a project financed by GFI with cultured chicken meat and projects (funded by FAPESC and Embrapa) on residues of veterinary medicines (ractopamine, nicarbazin) in feed, meat flour, offal in pork and chicken. She was Deputy Manager of the Poultry Production Thematic Center (NTPA), between 2021 and 2023, deputy secretary of the CTI (2020-2021). She participates in colleagues' projects evaluating organic acids for decontaminating swine carcasses; mealworm control with bioinsecticides in poultry litter; prebiotic production from sweet potato residue; Cashew Nut Liquid (LCC) for administration to layers to evaluate antioxidants in eggs; edible microcarriers of plant origin for engineering and production of a sausage analogue with bovine, porcine and chicken cells (FINEP). She is currently a Researcher at Embrapa Clima Temperado in the area of #8203;#8203;functional foods, at the Food Science and Technology Laboratory. She is an appointed member of the Internal Technical Committee (CTI), works in the SDG and Oliviculture Working Groups for Embrapa Clima Temperado. Nominated by MAPA and CODEX to WHO, for the Informal Technical Working Group on Cell-Based Foods and Precision Fermentation (TWG/FAO/WHO). Member of Embrapa's Consumer Protagonism Portfolio, which defines the innovation challenges for the institution's new projects.
