holds a degree in Agronomic Engineering (2002), a master's degree (2005) and a doctorate (2008) in Agronomy, area of ​​concentration in Plant Production, from the "Luiz de Queiroz" Higher School of Agriculture of the University of São Paulo. In these opportunities, he dedicated himself to the development of alternative methods of citrus propagation and studies on the physiology of nursery trees production under controlled water deficit. He held an agronomic residency at the Southwest Florida Research and Education Center at the University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (2002), conducting a comparative study between the citrus nursery tree production systems in Florida and São Paulo. He held a postdoctoral degree at the Experimental Station of Citriculture in Bebedouro (2009), working on the selection of sweet orange varieties and evaluation of high tree density under rainfed conditions in a tropical climate. He served as Adjunct Professor I of the Department of Plant Production, Institute of Agronomy, Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (2010), being responsible for the chair of Plant Propagation. He was a permanent professor of the Graduate Program in Agricultural Sciences at the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (2011-2020). Since 2010, he has been Researcher A at Embrapa Cassava & Fruits, being responsible for the Joint Unit of Research and Technology Transfer UMIPTT Citrus Belt between Embrapa, Coopercitrus / FUPAB and the Fund for Citrus Protection-Fundecitrus, based in Araraquara and Bebedouro-SP. Since 2022, he has been Permanent Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Agronomy (Plant Production) at the Faculty of Agrarian and Veterinary Sciences of the "Júlio de Mesquita Filho" São Paulo State University in Jaboticabal-SP. Holds a PQ2 Science Productivity fellowship from CNPq. He works mainly with the topics: citrus horticulture, selection and evaluation of scion and rootstock varieties, sustainable production systems and propagation, genetic resistance and HLB management, as well as contributions to horticulture and the development of passion fruit varieties.
