Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from the Faculty of A grarian Sciences of Pará-FCAP, currently the Federal Rural University of the Amazon-UFRA (1989), Master's degree in Development Planning (1999) and PhD in Socio-environmental Development (2009) from the Center for Advanced Amazonian Studies (NAEA) of the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). She worked as a consultant for development projects in the Amazon; she was a professor of Higher Education and member of an international academic committee; she was a partner in an advisory and consulting company for rural communities; she worked as a manager of the state secretariat in Pará. In 2011 she joined the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - EMBRAPA, at the Embrapa Maranhão unit, in São Luís-MA, as a researcher in the area of family farming, sub-area of sustainable rural development. From 2011 to 2014, she assumed the role of executive secretary of the Internal Technical Committee (CTI), interim head of research and development and deputy head of technology transfer at the Unit, resuming this role from 2021 to now. She has been active in Embrapa working groups on topics related to social innovation, technology transfer and socio-productive inclusion. She has experience with issues related to family farming, traditional peoples and communities, regional planning and development, social systems, participation, intervention, social innovation, institutional articulation and management, certification and social interactions in forest management. She is also a music therapist, post-graduated from the South Brazilian Center for Research, Extension and Graduate Studies / CENSUPEG.
