Chemical engineer from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2007) and a law graduate from UniCEUB (Brasília-DF, 2019). Master's degree in Intellectual Property and Innovation from the National Institute of Industrial Property - INPI (2010) and a specialist in patents from the Japan Patent Office (course taken in Tokyo in 2015).Has worked for 17 years in areas related to the Innovation Law, intellectual property, and comprehensive management, primarily related to the implementation of the new Science and Technology Legal Framework, agro-livestock bioeconomy, and sustainability.In 2006, worked at CEMIG (Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais) in the Superintendency of Technology and Energy Alternatives, in the areas of Technological Prospecting and RD Project Management. Also in 2006, developed work at Instituto Inovação, specifically in Technological Prospecting in various topics, especially nanobiotechnology.From 2007 to 2011, collaborated with Vale S.A., in the areas of Industrial Property and Innovation Management, focusing on patent searches, patentability analyses, and supporting the management of the Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) project portfolio, having worked on Vale S.A.'s first qualification as a beneficiary of the Lei do Bem.Later, took the position of Analyst A in the Innovation Management area, specifically in the Business and Intellectual Property sub-area at Embrapa Headquarters (Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, a public company linked to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply - MAPA), where also served as Advisor to the Executive Board and Supervisor and Coordinator of the Intellectual Property and New Business area.In 2020, was invited to the position of General Coordinator of Mechanization, New Technologies, and Genetic Resources at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply - MAPA, a department mainly responsible for the general coordination of bioeconomy policies. From 2021 to 2022, assumed the role of Director of Innovation at the Ministry, where in 2023 acted as Director of Sustainable Production and Deputy Secretary of Innovation. In June 2023, returned to Embrapa as an advisor to the presidency of the public company.Contributes to Embrapa in the context of the new Science, Technology, and Innovation Legal Framework, as well as advising on contract negotiations in partnerships, coordinating cooperations in areas such as bioeconomy, biotechnology, and information technology. Also collaborates in the management of the portfolio of assets for technology transfer and business development, and contributes to the architecture of open innovation programs and platforms, such as the startup-focused program called Pontes para Inovação. At MAPA, the challenge involved formulating public policies that benefit agriculture and integrate open innovation, regional innovation ecosystems, and agtechs/startups/greentechs, digital agriculture, future ingredients, intellectual property, sustainability, genetic resources, and mechanisms for adding value in the context of the national bioeconomy.Participated in the preparation and management of the MAPA teams that took part in the 2022 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) (COP27) and took part in various international missions on agro-livestock sustainability. In this context, contributed to the construction of inclusive narratives about increasingly sustainable and regenerative agriculture. The alliance between innovation, technology, and bioeconomy represents a set of tools applied to agriculture that promote progress in addressing the global climate challenge. Beyond the challenge, the work involves evaluating opportunities such as the carbon market, green financing, and mainly establishing guidelines to improve the country's image with international actors, thus providing future opportunities for international green financing.
