Mini-curriculum

Graduated in Agronomy from the University of Passo Fundo (UPF), holds a Master's degree in Agronomy (Plant Physiology) from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), and a PhD in Plant Biology (Plant Physiology) from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research on biological nitrogen fixation (Azospirillum spp.) in wheat. He has worked in the fields of plant and animal production as an Agricultural Engineer in the agro-industry. Throughout his graduate studies, he focused on research in the area of Plant Physiology of Cultivated Plants, dealing with hypoxia in flooded plants (Corn) and plant pathophysiology (Beans). In 2005-2011 was a faculty member, teaching biochemistry and physiology, and coordinated the Physiology and Biochemistry Section of the Institute of Biological Sciences (ICB) at the University of Passo Fundo. In 2011, he joined Embrapa as a Researcher in Production Systems, where he served as leader of a networked research project, Leader of Project Arrangement, and Leader of the CANOLA-BR Project Portfolio. His current research focuses on abiotic stresses in wheat (heat) and carbon fluxes and assimilation in production systems.
