Graduated in Agricultural Engineering by the Federal University of Pelotas (2004), Masters in Agronomy/Soils by the Federal University of Pelotas (2007) and PhD in Agronomy/Soils (Capes Scholarship), performing part of the activities at the University of Gent - Belgium as a Sandwich program (Capes Scholarship). Substitute Professor at UFPel between 2007 and 2009. Visiting Researcher at the Xisto Agrícola Project through the Agreement Embrapa - FAPEG - Petrobras from 2010 to 2011. Since 2011, Permanent Researcher at Embrapa Clima Temperado, working in the following areas: Management and Conservation of Soil and Water, Use of Agro-industrial Waste in Agriculture and in the Development of New Products for Agriculture. Experience in the areas of Soil Science and Water Resources, with emphasis on Soil Physics, Soil-Water-Plant-Atmosphere Relations, Irrigation and Valorization of Agro-industrial Waste. Collaboration on several projects related to the management, conservation and soil quality, and in the development of new inputs (fertilizers, soil conditioners, plant substrates and remineralizers). Coordination of the LODOS Project: Research and Development of the Potential of Agricultural Use of Sludges from drinking water and sewage treatment plants, a partnership between EMBRAPA and CORSAN between 2015-2020. Coordination of the project entitled: Development of substrate for eucalyptus seedlings from biochar from sewage sludge and agro-industrial waste (Call Fapergs PqG n 07/2021), from 2022 to 2025. Coordination of the PROTECTED SOIL Project: Diagnosis, promotion of soil quality and sustainability in tobacco production units in southern Brazil (2024-2029). Since 2024, Professor - Member of the permanent staff of the Postgraduate Program in Soil and Water Management and Conservation (PPG-MACSA/UFPEL) at the Federal University of Pelotas.
