Graduated in Agronomy (1992), master's degree in Food Science (1995) and Ph.D. in Food Science (2003), all at Londrina State University. Ph.D thesis was developed at the Institute of Food Research (England). Post-doc in Biotechnology (Catholic University of Brasilia, 2010). Researcher at Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) since 2012, based at Embrapa Agroenergy/Brasilia-DF. Based in Mozambique from 2014 to 2015, working in Technical and Scientific Projects (Pro-Savana and Pro-Alimentos), also as a Visiting Scientist of the University of Florida (School Feeding Program in Mozambique), and Scientific Advisor for World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF) in Bioenergy projects. Was an Assistant Professor at Federal University of Cuiabá (1997-1999), for the under-graduate courses of Agronomy and Animal Production; and at Catholic University Dom Bosco (1999-2014), or under-graduate courses (Agronomy, Animal Production, Human Nutrition, Pharmacy, Environmental and Sanitary Engineering and Post-grad in Biotechnology. Has got experience in Food Science and Technology, mainly in Chemistry, Physics and Biochemistry of Food and Energetic Biomasses, focusing in oil bearing species, plant cell wall, plant biotechnology. Participated of the Permanent Committee of elaboration of the Bionergy Research Programme of Mato Grosso do Sul State, and of the Scientific Committee of the Pos-grad and Research Network - Pró-Centro Oeste. Advised post-grad students at Catholic University Dom Bosco (MSc. and PhD.), Federal University of Viçosa (PhD.) and e Eduardo Mondlane University/Mozambique (MSc.).
