Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Goiás (UFG). Masters and Doctorate in Animal Science specializing in preventive medicine from the same institution. Postdoctoral degree in chemical ecology and the development of pest control strategies. Experience in developing molecular diagnostic tools to support the identification of agents related to infectious and parasitic diseases. Was Instructor at SENAR-GO providing courses to rural producers on animal health. Was a professor at the Federal University of Goiás lecturing on infectious diseases. Was researcher in the Poultry Health division, researching with a focus on Salmonella sp. and transmission of this bacteria to poultry and the contamination of eggs and chicken meat. Also biosecurity in poultry farms for disease prevention. He was General Manager of Research Cooperation Development and Innovation at Embrapa Brasilia/DF and worked at the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) in the Advisory Department of the General Coordination of Animal Health Surveillance of the Department of Animal Health (DSA). Currently works in the General Project Management at Embrapa.
