Multiple use pond

The technology of the Multiple Use Pond aims at waterproofing for environmental protection. Such waterproofing prevents groundwater contamination by pollutant waste. It can also enable the use of clean water, with added value, for other purposes. The technology consists of coating a pond with a common plastic canvas, which is covered with a 25-30 cm thick layer of soil to secure it at the bottom, protect it against fish and animals, and, above all, against sunrays. It is an efficient technology, with long life and low cost, whose main applications and benefits are: a) leisure and tourism: ornamental lakes in farms, country houses, malls; b): ecology: conditioning and treatment of pollutant liquid waste from pigs and cattle breeding, and urban areas, for subsequent release to streams and/or application on crops; c) farms: as a reservoir, replacing water tanks, at a low cost; d) fish-farming: for commercial use and at fee-fishing establishments, the adoption of this technology allows for better water use, eliminating loss due to infiltration; e) supply: rural communities and community vegetable gardens, generating irrigated system stability; f) irrigation: makes rational use of the property irrigation system, allowing for a reduction in energy consumption and use of equipment and lower power engines, as well as avoiding losses through infiltration.
