This project aims to create a system for the management of strategic information on the compliance with organic production certification requirements, and to support family farmers and their Social Control Organizations (OCS) and Participatory Conformity Assessment Organizations (OPAC). The digital system will support the inspection of family farmers linked to OCS in direct sales and will serve as a pilot/model for the State of São Paulo; the Comuna da Terra organization will serve as reference. The part of the system dedicated to information related to the work performed by OPACs will be developed based on the interaction with Orgânicos Sul de Minas, a reference entity. The system and database generated will make it easier for family farmers and their organizations to insert mandatory data, manage information and directly communicate with parties, and will also facilitate the search for information on production, bringing supply and demand closer together, taking knowledge produced by research and extension to farmers, fostering digital inclusion, and developing regional organic production. Three other Embrapa units participate in the project, by contributing with researchers in activities with settled farmers, by interconnecting data with the organic milk platform and by preparing the supporting database.
