BRS 2558XTD and BRS 2553XTD Soybeans
BRS 2558XTD and BRS 2553XTD are transgenic (GM), "Xtend”-type soybean cultivars that are tolerant to the herbicides dicamba and glyphosate, which facilitates weed control. BRS 2553XTD offers the competitive differential of resistance to Phytophthora root rot, an important soil disease that attacks soybeans, whose main control method is the use of resistant cultivars. Meanwhile BRS 2558XTD is an an early soybean option that allows early sowing, and hence it can be potentially inserted in rotation/succession systems with other crops; moreover, it offers stable yields.
