The Inovaflora project aims to offer technological solutions through participatory methodologies to improve the socio-productive condition of family farmers in the Amazon, and to contribute to the adaptation of rural properties to environmental legislation regarding the restoration and recovery of altered areas, through systems integrated production systems in arrangements involving species of economic value in the region. The actions are being developed in family communities in municipalities in the territories of citizenship in the states of Acre, Amazonas, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Pará, Rondônia and Roraima. The target audience are family farmers / producers and their representations, municipal and state managers and technicians, researchers, teachers and students. The transfer of technology takes place by stimulating an increase in the perception of the importance of reintroducing or implementing recomposition systems based on the diversity of native, fruitful forest species, and other agri-food crops already used or of interest to these communities. It starts with the dialogue and collective construction through the exchange of experiences between farmers and specialists from Embrapa and partner institutions in order to arrive at the choices that can reverse the scenario of degradation and alteration of the vegetation cover in the family unit. The predominant productive chains in the region are also considered in the selection of species during the collective process. Continuous training agendas are established, followed by the practice of implementing Technological Reference Units, as places for the exchange of knowledge and training of multiplying agents, who receive technical guidance on the importance of regularizing the environmental liability of Legal Reserve Areas (ARL) ), Permanent Preservation Areas (APP), and Restricted Use Areas (UR), as provided in the Brazilian Forest Code. The Rural Environmental Registry - CAR of the property is the marker of these actions. Inovaflora is coordinated by Embrapa Amazônia Oriental, and is part of the Integrated Amazon Project, which is financed by the Amazon Fund and operated by the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), in cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment.
