It is a soybean cultivar with high yield potential that is moderately resistant to the Meloidogyne javanica root-knot nematode, resistant to soybean cyst nematode race 3, and moderately resistant to races 1 and 14. Its cycle varies depending on the recommended region in Brazil: late for REC 304 (Goiás, Bahia and Minas Gerais) and REC 401 (Goiás), and medium for REC 405 (Bahia) and REC 401 (Mato Grosso). It is erect and resistant to lodging. By including Intacta technology in its genetic attributes, the cultivar offers resistance to the main soybean caterpillars, such as the velvetbean caterpillar, the soybean looper, the tobacco budworm, and the bud borer. It also has a suppressive effect, i.e. secondary control, because it helps to reduce the population of the lesser cornstalk borer and of Helicoverpa armigera. It can be used in a crop succession production system with maize, sorghum, cotton, sesame, pulses or wheat.
