Improved variety of banana, with agronomic and sensory characteristics very similar to those of 'Prata Anã', but with the differential of genetic resistance to fusarium wilt and yellow sigatoka, diseases with high incidence especially in irrigated perimeters, such as Bom Jesus da Lapa/ Ba and Jaíba/Mg.
The fruits of BRS Platina are very similar to those of 'Prata Anã', both in shape and flavor. In addition, the variety should be harvested earlier than 'Prata Anã', approximately 90 days after the emission of the banana bunch.
This technological solution was developed by Embrapa in partnership with other institution(s).
