The cattle raising activity in the Amazon has generated degradation of millions of hectares of grasslands, associated to economical decadence due to the low productivity and a series of global factors, requiring thus alternatives capable of overcoming these limitations, in addition to the ability to re-incorporate this great land extension to the productive process. In this sense, this project aims to evaluate, adapt and develop innovating systems of integration agriculture-cattle farming (LP), Status: Completed Start date: Tue Feb 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2011 |
Family farming is an economically important segment nationwide, but has many weaknesses of social and technological order. The project aims to estimate carbon balance in different grain production system scenarios in the major Brazilian biomes, ranking those that reduce the consequences of climate change, via computational simulators. The information generated in this project will be used in the project "Classification and spatialization of grain production systems with the use of remote sensing", aiming to produce regional estimates of the carbon balance and GHG emissions for Brazil's entire grain production area. ...
