The Ombudsman's office is subordinate to the Administration Board (Consad) and while it is administratively under Embrapa's presidency, its functional independence to perform its attributions is safeguarded. It is responsible for the improvement of the corporation's relationship with internal and external publics at Embrapa's different administrative levels. It is also responsible for the implementation of the Law of Access to Information.
