The intense world demand for food together with environmental issues related to the sustainable use of natural resources draw a picture of search for the maximum efficiency in agricultural productivity, which involves greater efficiency in monitoring crop areas. Analytical tools capable of encompassing sample variation and territorial reach demand high costs for their operation and for the replication of results. Remote sensing has proved a very efficient tool for mapping/monitoring agricultu ...Status: Completed Start date: Thu Sep 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2011 |

Climate change caused by human activities is a reality that can affect agricultural production and is therefore a phenomenon that must be considered in strategic decisions. At the same time that it is affected, agriculture is seen as one of the main causes of global warming due to changes in land use, mainly due to deforestation through burning and non-conservationist soil management, which can lead to land degradation and more greenhouse gas emissions. Understanding the social and economic d ...Status: Completed Start date: Sat Sep 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2012 |
Campinas' Metropolitan region has a wide selection of information and data that might be used to promote a better understanding of the agricultural and stockbreeding sector to society.
