The Systematization of Experiences Collection: Methods of Technology Transfer, Knowledge Exchange and Knowledge Building was created from the need to understand how the knowledge and technologies generated by Embrapa and its partners reach the field.

That perception is fundamental to advance the construction of appropriate strategies and methods to interact with different actors, improving the innovation process in Brazilian agriculture and the socio-productive inclusion of family farmers, peoples and traditional communities.

The systematization of experiences (SE) methodology is based on the premise of reflecting about practice from the historical reconstruction of lived experience. In order to provoke reflection and analysis about methods of technology transfer, knowledge exchange and knowledge building (TTKEKB) conducted by Embrapa, a systematization process was made and resulted in this Collection, which is composed of 21 volumes.

The first volume contains SE's methodological bases and learning guides that were developed throughout the process, and were customized to guide systematization carried out in Embrapa Units. It was designed to inspire other professionals and institutions to use that methodology.

Volumes 2 to 20 portray the experiences that were systematized by the Units involved. They reveal the diversity of TTKEKB strategies and methods used, providing precious elements that can contribute to the improvement of Embrapa's work with various target audiences.

In turn, the last volume was elaborated from the cross-sectional analysis of 19 systematized experiences.

That study deepens the collective reflection on TTKEKB practice and generates organizational learning, striving for the constant pursuit of excellence in building, exchanging and making knowledge and technologies available to society.
