BRS 420 is a cassava cultivar for industrial use recommended for the states of Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul. With aptitude for use in no-till farming areas, the cultivar presents expressive superiority to the varieties that are most often used in these regions in terms of root and starch productivity, both in the first and second cycles of the crop. In addition to having moderate resistance to bacteriosis, over-stretching and anthracnose, the cultivar is erect, which favors crop treatments, harvesting, and the production of branches for replanting.
