This project arose from the need to generate and consolidate geospatial databases, implementing an infrastructure in order to organize and make this data available to improve Embrapa's RD&I capacity. As well as to allow sharing of the data collection to other government agencies and to society, and also the establishment of a multiuser reference center for obtaining spectroradiometric measurements of targets of interest to tropical agriculture. The implementation of Embrapa's Spatial Data Infras ... Status: Completed Start date: Sun Jun 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2014 |
This project aims to create a system for the management of strategic information on the compliance with organic production certification requirements, and to support family farmers and their Social Control Organizations (OCS) and Participatory Conformity Assessment Organizations (OPAC). The digital system will support the inspection of family farmers linked to OCS in direct sales and will serve as a pilot/model for the State of São Paulo; the Comuna da Terra organization will serve as reference. ... Enzymes have their function essentially determined by specific residue known as catalytic residue. Most methods to predict enzyme catalytic residue uses at least one criterion of primary sequence conservation. Considering that the function is a product of the structure, this project aims to identify among the structural descriptors available in the Sting software database those of higher relevance in the discrimination of catalytic residue. Thus, the project will propose a new enzyme classificat Status: Completed Start date: Sun Aug 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2010 |
The goal of this project is to develop an integrated database system for the Department of Vegetal Sanity (DSV), the Secretary of Agriculture and Stockbreeding Defense of the Agriculture, Stockbreeding and Provision (Mapa), hoping to facilitate processes of risk analysis of plagues that attack vegetable products. The vegetable product imports which can be potential spreaders of plagues is normatized by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC), which is linked to the Committee of Sani Status: Completed Start date: Thu Apr 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2010 |
Brazil is now a world reference in the area of animal breeding biotechnology, accounting for 25 to 30% of the total number of embryos transferred worldwide. Reproductive biotechnology is a key element in genetic breeding programs, but it is necessary to invest in the creation of a solid and well-built database that supports decision-making for national livestock. This component project uses a transversal approach and is responsible for the search and analysis of advanced information technologies (TIs), and their operation in order to perform more efficient simulations that deal with impacts caused by climate change in the country's agriculture. The project is linked to the project "Simulation of Agricultural Future Scenarios from the Regional Climate Change Projections" and will take a look at technology alternatives in a system of high performance paral ... Epidemics of Diseases whose Pathogens are Transmitted by Insects (EDTIs) are frequent and impactful in the areas of human, animal and plant health. Due to its complexity, understanding the dynamics of EDTIs requires the accumulation of epidemiological data from monitoring networks and the use of models that establish the chain of relations between their components and calculate, under environmental oscillations, the rate and progress of the biological processes. This project intends to offer technical and scientific support to Secretariat for Family Farms and Cooperatives (Secretaria de Agricultura Familiar e de Cooperativismo, SAF) of the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa). In the project are foreseen analyses of the Pronaf Release Statement (Declaração de Aptidão ao Pronaf, DAP) database and other correlated databases which are to be made available over the span of the cooperation. The DAP is a legal instrument to attest th ... Status: Completed Start date: Wed May 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2019 |
In order to support strategies for surveillance, monitoring and control of quarantine pests, this project foresees the identification of areas that are favorable to the entry and spread of eleven (11) exotic quarantine pests, considering the potential risk routes of introduction and/or dispersion in the Brazilian territory. For strategic territorial mappings, the project will use georeferenced and bioecological information on target pests, as well as the location and availability of federal and Status: In progress Start date: Wed Jul 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2020 |
The planned activities include germplasm rescue, characterization, conservation, providing access to the internal and external public and documentation in the institutional Genetic Resources Database (Alelo System) to make information available. These will be developed through eight innovation solutions, involving seven Embrapa units. Through the proposed activities, it is expected to expand the genetic variability conserved in Active Root and Tuber Germplasm Banks in Brazil, as well as to inten Status: In progress Start date: Sat May 01 00:00:00 GMT-03:00 2021 |
